I need to take 2 cylinders and make them intertwine as they grow. (See attached jpg for general idea.) Both strands start out small in length and then they get longer and longer wrapping around each other. How would I go about doing that?

Hi,
draw a circle on Illustrator, very close to the left border, then save it as SVG. This will be your profile to revolve.
Now drag this SVG onto the Kinemac Stage window holding down the Option Key. This will import and revolve the SVG profile (not extrude). Well, you will get something like a doughnut (torus).
Now last touch, go to the "Inspector:Object's Parameters" panel and adjust the "Vertical Step" value, so at any round, your section will go up and up and you will get the spiral. Look at the animation sample attached here.

Also you could try to use a modeler software to do that, then export the model as 3DS or OBJ and import in into Kinemac.
